How IP targeting works

From a search to the right ad, in six steps

IP targeting connects the network someone browses from with the campaigns that want to reach it. Here is the whole journey.

Under the hood

What happens in the milliseconds before an ad loads

Every ad request carries an IP address. Watch how IPtarget.pro turns it into a decision: serve your ad, skip the request, or block it.

Request arrives: A visitor opens a page with an ad slot. The ad request carries the public IP address of their connection. No login or cookie is needed.

Features

Everything you need to run IP-targeted campaigns

Define precise audiences, check their size, launch, and measure without stitching together separate tools.

Location targeting

Pick countries, states and cities. Every ad request is resolved to a location before your campaign decides whether to bid.

IP range & CIDR targeting

Paste or upload the public IPv4 and IPv6 ranges you're authorised to reach, such as customer offices, partner networks or campuses, in CIDR notation.

Exclusions

Exclude locations and IP ranges, such as your own offices or known data-centre ranges, so spend goes to real audiences instead of bots.

Budgets & scheduling

Set daily and total budgets, a bid strategy, delivery hours and frequency caps, so spend stays under your control.

Campaign management

Create, schedule, pause and edit campaigns from one dashboard, with budgets, dates and creatives in the same place.

Analytics & reports

Track impressions, clicks and spend by campaign and location, and spot which regions perform best.

From idea to live campaign

Set up in four steps

The dashboard walks you from audience to results. Every step shows what your choices mean before you commit.

Targeting networks, not people

IP targeting works at the level of networks and locations. It doesn't need to know who someone is.

  • Targeting works on locations and network ranges. Individual visitors are never identified or listed.
  • No browsing history, cookies or ISP subscriber data are used to target.
  • Only public ranges you're authorised to target; private and reserved ranges are rejected automatically.
FAQ

Questions, answered

What is IP targeting?+

Every device online connects through a public IP address that belongs to a network, such as an office, campus, home broadband or mobile carrier, in a known location. IP targeting shows your ads only when the request comes from the locations or network ranges you choose.

How accurate is IP location?+

Country and region are generally reliable; city-level accuracy varies by network and provider. That's why combining locations with known IP ranges gives the most precise results.

Does it use cookies or personal data?+

No. Decisions are made from network-level attributes of the IP address. IPtarget.pro never lists individual IP addresses, browsing history or ISP subscriber data.

Can I target a specific company or campus?+

Yes, if you're authorised to target their public IP ranges, for example your own customers or partners. Enter the ranges in CIDR notation and add exclusions where needed.

How do I get started?+

Create a free account, build an audience and set your budget. You can set up and review campaigns before any ads are delivered.
